Inspired by My Adventures in Vegas

By that headline, I'm sure you are expecting to hear of some interesting stories that I had experienced during my trip to Las Vegas, Nevada. I will not, however, be discussing such events. It is true what they say about Vegas; "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." There is one experience that did not just stay in Vegas though. That was my newly found interest in card gambling. It would be a stretch to call me a gambling addict, but I have come to really appreciate a deck of cards and some money on the line.

So Then I decided..

Leaving Vegas was needed because I had definitely been there too long. I was staying up too late loosing track of the time and money. Though, I didn't want my new found entertainment of card gambling to end. So, on my way out of Vegas I bought a couple of used casino decks from the hotel I was staying at and headed home. When I got home I decided to do some poking around for some nice chip sets and possibly even a poker table.

I Got What I Needed On a Budget

As you can imagine my funds were not what they were before I went to Vegas, but I felt that I wanted to bring that joy I felt there to my friends and family back at home. I went online and found some amazing deals on a set a cheap poker chips. There was a special going on for 1000 assorted chips in a case for under 100. That fit nicely into my budget and could then proceed in searching for a poker table.

I saw that the poker tables were a bit more expensive; especially for the padded arm rests along the outside I desired, and the cup holders. It didn't take me long to find a deal for a very nice 8 person poker table for under 250.

In total, I spent around 350 and began hosting my own poker nights immediately. With some luck, and a few tips I picked up from Vegas, I am able to start slowly paying off this spend! More importantly, I am bringing together my loved ones for a fun night that doesn't consist of sitting in front of the television.
